Parenting Skills Group
This is for any parent with a child or teen with frequent meltdowns and difficulty managing their big emotions. These emotions could include, but aren’t limited to anger, defiance, ADHD, or anxiety. It’s for the parent who wants to learn how to support their child best and teach them skills to regulate their emotions while receiving support from other parents in the same season of life.
Over 8 weeks, you will learn how you and your child’s emotions work together, understand triggers, and how to respond and co-regulate with your child. We do this through psychoeducation about emotions, understanding how the brain works, learning practical skills such as boundary and limit setting, enhancing your relationship with your child, and supplemental book reading.
