She has over a decade of experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including the YMCA, after-school programs, preschools, and community mental health.
Mecca primarily works with children and adolescents and is passionate about helping young people build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills.
Mecca’s clinical interests include anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, self-esteem, family and relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and social skills development. She believes that every child deserves a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and child-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and creative, expressive interventions. She enjoys incorporating play, art, and other hands-on activities into sessions to help children process emotions, strengthen coping skills, and express themselves in ways that feel natural and engaging.
As a Marietta native, Mecca is committed to creating meaningful therapeutic relationships that encourage growth, emotional wellness, and lasting positive change for every child and family she serves.
Mecca is working under the supervision of Megan Arnold, LPC, NCC, CPCS
